BRUCE CROALL (City of Edinburgh) reclaimed pole position in the Meadowbank National Cycle Track League with an impressive show of pace in ideal conditions at the London Road Velodrome last night.
The defending champion, who had lost the lead to his team mate Derek Smith the previous week, took top spot in the opening event, the 15-lap scratch as well as winning a sprint heat and contributing to his team's success in the Italian pursuit.

And he completed a fruitful outing when he powered around the closing circuit to take the honours in the final event of the night over ten kilometres, clinching an intermediate sprint bonus in the process.

Youth rider Callum Skinner (Edinburgh racers) performed admirably against adult opposition and there was also an impressive return to action on the track for Kate Cullen (Braveheart Cycling Fund), who saw off male opposition to chalk up a sprint heat win.

Top scorer in the B category riders competition was Olivier Del Corto (Edinburgh RC), whose points haul earned him promotion to the A Division, while the leading youth on show was Emma McAlpine (Edinburgh Racers), who chalked up first, second and third places.
