CAPITAL teenager Callum Skinner marked his first appearance in City of Edinburgh colours with a spectacular win in the Scottish 15-kilometre track cycling championship at Caird Park in Dundee.
The 16-year-old, who is best known as a sprinter, showed his versatility when he tackled the longer distance. And he displayed impressive racing tactics with a perfectly-timed attack two laps from the end of the race and stayed away to clinch his first senior title.

Skinner crossed the line ahead of defending champion Ross Crook (Edinburgh RC) and Dave Martin (Bicycleowrks.com), who added another medal to his growing collection.

Skinner's new team-mate Charline Joiner made it a double for the squad when she snatched the women's 10km title in a tight finish, edging Alison Chisholm (Edinburgh RC) and Julie Dominguez (unattached) into the minor places.
