EDINBURGH'S Alex Arthur will feature alongside Amir Khan at the Manchester Evening News Arena on 6 September in a show promoted by Frank Warren.
Arthur, the WBO World super featherweight Champion, will make the second defence of his title against an, as yet, unnamed challenger.

The 29-year-old won the Interim title against Koba Gogoladze in July last year and made one defence against Stephen Foster Junior last December before he was installed as full champion.

Khan, from Bolton, won a thrilling five-round contest against rival Michael Gomez to retain his Commonwealth Lightweight title last Saturday night. The 21-year-old dumped Gomez to the canvass in the first round, but was then floored himself in the second before he stopped the Mancunian.

This will be the first time that Arthur and Khan have fought at the MEN Arena – a venue that has hosted some of the biggest names in British boxing.
