ARBROATH have secured Dundee's former Scottish international midfielder Colin Cameron on loan for a month. The move is designed to help the Gayfield club gain from his experience as well as allowing the Dens Park player to get some match practice after a long time out with injury.
Kirkcaldy-born Cameron played at Hearts, Wolves, Coventry, Millwall and Raith Rovers in his long career. He won the Scottish League Cup in 1994 with hometown club Raith before joining Hearts for £400,000 a year later. Cameron won the first of his 28 Scotland caps in the famous 1-0 friendly win in Germany in 1999.
The veteran will make his Arbroath debut in tonight's friendly with a Rangers XI at Gayfield. Arbroath manager John McGlashan said: "This is a massive coup for Arbroath. Colin is fit to play and he will be an important feature in our forthcoming games East Fife, Ayr and Alloa."
