Ankle surgery keeps Buchan on sidelines

EXPERIENCED Jamie Buchan faces an ankle operation that will rule him out of the start of the season.
As a result he has decided not to accept the offer of a player and coaching contract from present club Montrose until he knows how much he can contribute on the pitch.
