EVERTON secured a fifth-placed finish and place in next season’s Uefa Cup after this home win.
Ayegbeni Yakubu opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Michael Owen levelled from the penalty spot in the 47th minute after Joseph Yobo brought down Charles N’Zogbia. But Joleon Lescott (70) and an 82nd-minute penalty from Yakubu won it for Everton.
