AN Edinburgh man has completed a family hat-trick of inclusions in the New Year honours list.
James Nimmo, 56, was awarded an MBE for service to further education in Saturday's list.

His father, also called James Nimmo, who died in 1998, received an OBE for services to the community in 1981. He had worked in India and Pakistan and was involved in the evacuation of British citizens during the 1970s' India/Pakistan conflict.

Also honoured in the past has been Mr Nimmo's father-in-law, Michael Tinley, now 73, who received a CBE for services to the Royal Air Force and Royal Auxiliary Air Force in 1994.

Mr Nimmo received his award for his work at Jewel and Esk Valley College, where he created a protocol for companies to deal with new corporate governance legislation.
