EIGHT players from Napier University have been selected for Scotland to take part in the Universities Rugby League World Cup in Brisbane, Australia.
The team jetted out yesterday for the three-week long tournament.

Patrick Coupar, Squad Captain, said: "It costs £1740 for each player to go to Brisbane to take part in the World Cup and each player has been given £700 by the University and the Student Union towards the cost. Without this generous contribution, the team would not have been able to take part. This is an outstanding achievement for Napier and one we are keen to build on."

Eight nations are competing in the World Cup, including England, Wales, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Greece and France.
