DEREK Mc|nnes yesterday snapped up striker Kenny Deuchar on a 12-month deal, but the St Johnstone manager admits his squad-building plans will suffer if the Setanta crisis deepens.
Deuchar, 29 next month, secured a return ticket to the club where he bagged ten goals in 14 games during a prolific loan spell from Gretna two years ago. McInnes admits he was eager to recruit the former East Fife, Real Salt Lake and Hamilton striker after losing Derek Holmes to Queen of the South.

He explained: "I'm delighted to bring Kenny back. He made a huge impression at the club first time round and hopefully he will do so again."
