Peterhead 0AYR maintained their unbeaten home record as the Blue Toon conceded their first goals in four matches. Peterhead dominated early on and Martin Bavidge saw his left-foot effort well saved by Stephen Grindlay.
But Ryan Stevenson gave Ayr the lead from the penalty spot just before half-time, firing home after he was tripped by David Donald. Substitute Alex Williams made sure of the points with the second late on.
Brechin City 3
Alloa Athletic 1CHARLIE King netted a brace as Brechin maintained their unbeaten start to the league campaign.
Gary Twigg opened the scoring for Brechin just before the half-hour mark, and King made it two on the stroke of half-time, firing in a sumptuous free kick from 20 yards.
King netted his second of the afternoon after the interval, before Chris Townsley pulled a late goal back for Alloa.
East Fife 1
Stranraer 2STRANRAER secured their first away victory of the season as they held off a second-half fightback from the Fifers.
A poor header from Steven Tweed gifted the Blues the lead on the half-hour mark, allowing Kevin Nicoll to nip in and net. Stephen McConalogue then doubled Stranraer's lead with a 25-yard strike.
Chris Templeman headed in just before the break but Stranraer held on, despite Gregory Tade's dismissal for a second bookable offence.

Stirling Albion 1IAN Watt struck a late leveller for the Spiders as they came from behind to snatch an unlikely share of the points
Ian Harty gave Stirling the lead midway through the first half, turning the ball home from Chris Hamilton's low ball. They were unfortunate not to double their advantage before the interval but Ian Harty's right-foot volley came back off the bar.
But Watt equalised in the dying minutes to salvage a point for Queens.
