Match report: Hamilton 0 - 2 St Johnstone

Match report: Hibernian 1 - 1 Dundee Utd

Match report: Kilmarnock 1 - 1 Aberdeen

Match report: Motherwell 1 - 0 Falkirk

Match report: St Mirren 2 - 1 Hearts

17.01: And that's all from us today. A day of closely fought matches in the SPL, apart from St Johnstone's easy win at Hamilton that is.

Dundee United did well to salvage a point from Hibs, while Csaba Laszlo will be fuming at Hearts' defeat to St Mirren.

Killie must have thought they'd wrapped up the points at home to Aberdeen, but Gary McDonald had other ideas.

Meanwhile, Motherwell will be happy with their narrow win over a lacklustre Falkirk.

Join us tomorrow for our live coverage of Rangers v Celtic on scotsman.com/football. Can Mowbray triumph in his first Old Firm crunch match? Can Rangers put their European nightmare behind them? Find out tomorrow from 12.15pm.

16.55: SPL matches in pictures

16.49: Scott Robertson looks to have won the three points for Stirling at the death: 3-2.

16:45: Queen of the South have got two goals back against Morton. Could the comeback be on?

16:42: GOAL FOR ST JOHNSTONE: Grainger hits a magnificent shot to seal the points for the Saints.

16.40: GOAL FOR ABERDEEN: The Dons reply instantly when McDonald knocks it in after Mulgrew's free kick is blocked.

16.34: GOAL FOR KILMARNOCK: Danny Invincible puts Jim Jeffries' side ahead against Aberdeen in the 78th minute.

16.30: GOAL FOR DUNDEE UTD: Webster fires in a 25-yarder, his second in two matches, to put United level.

16.26: Simon Donnelly has put Partick 2-0 up.

16.21: Dundee Utd's Paul Dixon goes off with a suspected knee injury.

16.20: GOAL FOR ST MIRREN: A 20-yard volley from Craig Dargo into the top corner. Stunning strike.

16.18: Dundee Utd are piling on the pressure at Easter Road, and David Goodwillie goes close for Criag Levein's side. Still 1-0 Hibs though.

16.14: Jenkins puts Morton 3-0 up against QoS. Remarkable scoreline, all things considered.

16.12: Bryan Hodge breaks the deadlock to put Partick a goal up against ten-man Airdrie

16.06: Damien Casalinuovo misses a sitter from 6 yards for Dundee Utd.

15.45: Half-time whistles starting to sound.

15.44: GOAL FOR ST JOHNSTONE: Anderson puts the Saints ahead at Hamilton.

15.42: Airdrie's McLaughlin has been given a straight red card.

15.41: Morton are two up against Queen of the South. Remember QoS thrashed Dunfermline 4-1 to go top of the First Division. Can they turn it around against second bottom Morton?

15.37: GOAL FOR ST MIRREN: Against the run of play, St Mirren draw level. Thomson the scorer.

15.34: Two goals in quick succession and Dumbarton and 2nd Division leaders Stirling are level again at 1 - 1.

15.30 GOAL FOR HEARTS: Portuguese star Goncalves powers in a header to put the Jambos ahead.

15.29: The wind is causing problems, nowhere moreso than Fir Park.

Merouane Zemmama slides to his knees after opening the scoring for Hibs (SNS)

15.27: GOAL FOR HIBS: Bad defensive pass leads to Zemmamma breaking free, and he fires it high into the net.

15.23: Hibs' Benjelloun is booked for a nasty, retaliatory challenge.

15.18: GOAL FOR MOTHERWELL: Jutkiewicz beats the Falkirk keeper with a header.

15.17: Hearts made a promising start to their game at St Mirren Park, but the Buddies have settled into their stride now.

15.13: End-to-end stuff at Easter Road. Webster goes close with a header for United, before Stokes hits the post for the Hibbees.

15.12: The Challenge Cup semi-finals tomorrow are the reason that the First Division card is decimated this afternoon. Only the two matches on today, with the rest rescheduled.

15.10: St Mirren v Hearts: St Mirren have yet to win a home game this term, while Hearts are still searching for their first away victory.

The hosts, who lost to Celtic last weekend, know a win will take them above their visitors, who have lost just one of their last six games.

15.09: Aberdeen v Kilmarnock: Aberdeen have kept clean sheets in each of their last five league games, although they have only won two games
during that period.

Kilmarnock, who haven't won since the opening day of the season, will move to within a point of their visitors if they win today.

15.08: Hamilton v St Johnstone: Bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone are one of only two sides waiting on their first league win, while Accies, who have won one game so far, will be aiming to bounce back from their defeat at Hearts last weekend. Saints are just a point behind Accies, so they could move off the bottom with a win.

15.07: Hibs v Dundee Utd: The four meetings between these teams last term saw Hibs win one and United win two, while the other match ended in a draw. This match pits third against fourth, with Hibs one point ahead of their visitors.

United have yet to lose on their travels, while the only points Hibs have dropped at home came against Celtic.

15.01: And that's the games underway. Gale force winds are battering Scotland, and there seems to be an east-west divide too. It's bright sunshine here in Edinburgh but it's pouring down in the west by all accounts.

14.45: Welcome to this week's football live coverage on scotsman.com.

What are your predictions for today's SPL games?

Not sure what's going on with the Scotsman technology. Seems that people are posting but they are not showing on the threads. I've sent an email to the Technollogy dept. No reply as yet.
