A LAST-MINUTE goal from Andy Rodgers stole the points for East Stirlingshire, with a deserved 2-1 victory.
After hitting the woodwork twice early on, Rodgers latched onto a long throw and fired home in the 11th minute. Just minutes later Darren Gribben took advantage of poor defending to poke home an equaliser for the home side.
The visitors nicked it
when Rodgers sent a 90th minute header past Mark Lunn.
Forfar Athletic 0
Montrose 3MONTROSE won a fiery Angus derby, with a fine 3-0 win over on-form Forfar at Station Park.
Stephen McInally was sent off in the 19th minute for kicking David Cox, and Forfar's day went downhill from there. Cox himself opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a back post header, and was promptly substituted as he also lost his discipline. Hugh Davidson grabbed the second in the 57th minute and Paul Stewart wrapped things up late on.
Elgin City 0
Annan Athletic 1ANNAN got the better of plucky Elgin 1-0 at Borough Briggs to move up to third in their maiden SFL season.
The only goal came in the 20th minute. Phil Storey beat a couple of defenders before finding himself one-on-one with Ally Ridgers, and slotted home coolly. Elgin had a good chance to equalise on the hour when Darren Shallicker's shot was well saved by Craig Summersgill.
Shallicker again came close, but the equaliser just did not come.
