McGEADY HURT IN CLUB
CELTIC midfielder Aiden McGeady followed team-mate Artur Boruc on to the front pages yesterday as the Sun reported a nightclub assault on the Republic of Ireland international. The 22-year-old had, reportedly, been the subject of "sectarian jibes" before being punched by a gang of three men.

Airdrie United manager Kenny Black is poised to reap the rewards of his team's Alba Challenge Cup win over Ross County on Sunday. Diamonds chairman Jim Ballantyne told the Daily Record: "We will look to strengthen the player pool in January and Kenny will certainly have that opportunity."

Rangers striker Steven Naismith told the same newspaper how he is taking his rehabilitation from knee ligament surgery day by day. "It will depend on how things go if I play before the New Year, I'll just have to wait and see. It's been a case of so far so good and I think getting my operation in the summer helped."

The Daily Express claim Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch will be the subject of a January bid by Stoke.
