ROMA insist coach Luciano Spalletti will remain with the Serie A club despite reported interest from Chelsea.
The 49-year-old Italian was one of the names linked with the vacant managerial post at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Avram Grant.

But the Giallorossi have insisted he will be staying put. A senior club official said: "Spalletti is the Roma coach and, as far as we are aware, will continue to be the Roma coach next season.

"Moreover, Spalletti is under contract with Roma until 2011."

Spalletti led Roma to a successful defence of their Coppa Italia title this season, while they also finished second behind Inter Milan in Serie A.
