AN AMAZING match that flowed one way then the other and saw Clyde come back from three goals down on aggregate to storm through to the play-off final with Airdrie. Pat Clarke's 16-yard strike with nine extra time minutes left – the 11th goal of the
tie – was the first to put Clyde ahead and finally saw off a brave but tired Alloa side.
Clyde's pressure from the first whistle saw them level the tie after half an hour, Steven Masterton's corner finding Jimmy Gibson who netted with a close range header. With five minutes to half time
Brown Ferguson levelled matters with a stunning goal out of nothing when he thundered in a drive from 30 yards that crashed off the bar.
Two minutes later Alloa went 2-1 ahead in this game and 4-2 on aggregate when Derek Fleming curled a free kick in from the right and Fraser Forrest bundled the ball home.
Within a minute of the restart a mistake by Masterton and Dusan Bestvina allowed Alloa's Kyle McAulay through on goal and Bestvina could only help turn McAulay's effort over the line.
Gary Arbuckle's goal got Clyde back into it and it was really game on when Billy Gibson netted with a header after a Pat Clarke knockdown.
Gary McSwegan grabbed Clyde's fourth to level matters again and take the tie into extra time with six minutes to go when he headflicked a Masterton corner in. Clarke was handily placed at the edge of the area to take a pass from McSwegan to pick his spot to end the scoring.
