CLYDE travel to East End Park, a venue where they have not won for 34 years, looking to keep their heads above relegation waters today.
John Brown, the club's manager, is warning his side not to return from Fife without something to show for their efforts. Clyde sit three points clear of second bottom hoping to avoid a play-off against the second-placed side in the Second Division a
t the end of the season.
They have three fixtures remaining in which to preserve their First Division status. Today's sojourn to Dunfermline precedes a trip to league leaders Hamilton before a home match against relegated Stirling Albion.
Brown said: "It's vital we get something from our trip to Dunfermline, we cannot come back empty handed as I want the relegation play-off issue sorted as soon as possible."
Clyde's cause is helped by the return of ex-Motherwell player Shaun Fagan as well as Gary McSwegan and Pat Clarke being available. Defender Neil McGregor is rated as doubtful.
With other sides not involved in league duty this weekend, Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre knows a victory can take his side up into fourth place. Striker Kevin Harper is suspended, however.
Meanwhile, Clyde have announced details of their 50th anniversary Scottish Cup celebrations. On 30 July, players from both the Clyde and Hibs team from the 1958 final, which the Bully Wee won 1-0, will face John Brown's former team Rangers in a glamorous pre- season friendly.
