MORTON 1 Millar 52

CLYDE 2 MacLennan 90; McKeown 90
JOHN Brown, the Clyde manager, took his side boxing during the week and they delivered a classic sucker punch to pinch the points in a dramatic finish at Cappielow.

Morton looked set to ease their relegation fears after going ahead early in the se
cond half but Bomber's boys came storming back with two late goals which saw them swap places with their hosts.

Pat Clarke went close for the visitors early on before Morton almost broke the deadlock with their first attack of the match.

David Hutton was penalised for handling outside his box as he went to gather Ryan McGuffie's high punt.

However, the Clyde keeper made amends with a superb reflex save from Peter Weatherson's deflected free kick.

Allan Jenkins, an imposing presence in the home midfield, was denied a debut goal when his close range effort was somehow deflected over by Iain Campbell.

Morton broke the deadlock in 52 minutes when Chris Millar tried his luck from 30 yards and watched his effort take a deflection off Craig McKeown before sailing into the top corner.

Weatherson almost doubled the lead with a blistering shot which Hutton brilliantly turned behind.

In a classic smash-and-grab act substitute Ruari MacLennan fired the equaliser in 90 minutes before Craig McKeown played a captain's part by heading the winner in injury time.
