EAST STIRLINGSHIRE leapt over Stenhousemuir into second place in the Third Division with their fifth victory in six games as they saw off Albion Rovers 2-0 at Cliftonhill last night.
Brian Graham added to the double he netted on Saturday when he opened the scoring in the 25th minute and full-back Paul Hay scores Shire's second right on half-time.

Cowdenbeath failed to win for the third game in a row as promotion dark horses Forfar Athletic held them to a goalless draw at Central Park. However, they did halt a two-game losing run even though Brian

Fairbairn was dismissed 20 minutes into the second half.

Struggling Elgin City could have shocked Dumbarton in the first half if striker Kenny Wright had brought his shooting boots with him, the former Sons player missing two clear-cut chances.

Dumbarton went on to win 2-0, making Elgin pay in the 35th minute with a well-worked goal as Paul Craig and Patrick Boyle combined to set up on-loan Hearts striker Denis McLaughlin. Derek Carcary doubles the lead midway through the second half, running on to a McLaughlin head flick to net a low shot.
