SALTIRES star John Blain could be poised for a sensational return to county cricket.
The former Northants and Yorkshire paceman was targeted by both Gloucestershire and Yorkshire during the summer.

Both are still keen on the 29-year-old Scot who was one of the leading bowlers in last season's FP Trophy.

Blain recently quit a sports retail job in Paisley, paving the way for a possible return to the county ranks.

And it's understood that Yorkshire could win the race for the former Penicuik player, capped 109 times for Scotland.
