Cricket: Dunfermline challenge system that cost title

SCOTTISH National Cricket League chiefs will today be urged to scrap a controversial points system which cost Dunfermline the chance of the second division title.
At a club forum in Stirling, calls for Cricket Scotland's competitions committee to implement a change will be led by Dunfermline, who were denied the title despite being beaten just once while champions Stoneywood-Dyce lost four times. Their title hopes were dashed because seven of their games were lost to the weather while Stoneywood had just two games abandoned.
