IRELAND seamer Dave Langford-Smith took three wickets and claimed two run-outs, but saw his side slip to an 84-run defeat to Bangladesh in their second one-day international.
Bangladesh, who lead the three-game series 2-1, had reached 246 in Mirpur, with Shahriar Nafees contributing 60 and Aftab Ahmed 61, while Langford-Smith finished with three for 43.

Bangladesh had reached their total largely thanks to a first-wicket stand of 94 by Tamim Iqbal and Nafees.

A number of Ireland batsman got starts in their response but Farhad Reza's five for 42 saw the Irish dismissed for 162 with 11 overs remaining.

William Porterfield and Reinhardt Strydom shared an opening stand of 41 for Ireland, whose hopes were ended after Andre Botha (34) and Alex Cusack (24) fell victim to Reza. Abdur Razzak finished with three for 27.
