Blue Brazil edge closer to the top as Peterhead stun Albion
Alloa Athletic 2 Clyde 0

Alloa secured a fairly comfortable 2-0 win over Clyde at Recreation Park.

Brian Carrigan turned home a Brown Ferguson cross in the 14th minute, and the same duo combined for the clinching goal.

Th
ree minutes from time, the points were clinched as Carrigan's cross was headed onto the bar by Ferguson and Stuart Noble followed up to score.

Arbroath 0 Stenhousemuir 3

Stenhousemuir ended their five- game losing streak as they eased to a 3-0 win over Arbroath at Gayfield

Kevin Motion got things moving as he gave the Warriors a 19th-minute lead and the points were secure by midway through the second half.

Robert Love's decisive double in the 54th and 64th minutes lifted the visitors off the foot of the table.

Cowdenbeath 2 East Fife 1

Cowdenbeath got the better of the Fife derby in the glorious sunshine at Central Park.

Brian Fairbairn got the hosts off to a great start after only two minutes, following up Jon Robertson's long-range shot.

Player-manager Stevie Crawford led by example as he got the Methil men an equaliser ten minutes later, spinning well to hook a shot past David Hay.

The scoring was complete by the 14th minute as Robertson struck. The visitors deserved a share of the points but could not find a way past an inspired Hay in the Cowdenbeath goal.

The result means the home team close to within three points of league leaders Stirling Albion.

Dumbarton 0 Brechin City 0

Dumbarton and Brechin shared the spoils in a poor goalless draw at the Strathclyde Homes stadium.

Peterhead 3 Stirling Albion 2

Peterhead secured a fine 3-2 win over league leaders Stirling Albion at Balmoor.

Callum McDonald and John Stewart gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, which was halved by Martin Grehan. The two-goal advantage was restored by Nicky Clark before half time, and Stuart Devine's goal proved to be inconsequential.

Ross Forsyth was sent off late on for two bookings.

What was the crowd,

Always a hard game at Peterhead but Stirling would have been hoping for at least a point.

I wish the Scotsman would take at look at the jokers who are calling themselves Buy Stirling Albion.

Anyone reading their web site would get the impression that they have money in the bank and made an exceptional offer to buy the club.

One day the truth is going to come out.

After the "trustees" bought themselves a new car each, I believe the amount left in the bank is less than 90K.

Not exactly your Wall Steet scam, bit the same methods.

Publish your accounts guys.

Scotsman, this will be a story. The sooner you get on it, the better
