Stirlingshire Cup axed for first time

THE Stirlingshire Cup has been cancelled for the first time in its 125-year history this season due a dispute over refereeing fees.
The annual competition involves Falkirk, Stirling Albion, Alloa Athletic, Stenhousemuir, East Stirlingshire and Dumbarton – and was scheduled to start this evening with a meeting between Stenhousemuir and Dumbarton.
