East Stirling 3
Montrose 1
EAST Stirling have something to celebrate after they avoided finishing at the bottom of the SFL for the sixth successive year.
Their efforts to take victory were dealt a blow as David King turned the ball into his
own net giving Montrose a 1-0 lead.
But Andy Rodgers levelled five minutes before the break and Joe Savage put Shire in front midway through the second half.
Michael Bolochoweckjy made sure of the points ten minutes from time.
Albion Rovers 2
East Fife 2
JOHN Gemmell recovered from a poor start that saw him miss a penalty on 19 minutes after Pat Walker had been brought down, giving Albion Rovers the lead on 61 minutes.
Robert Barr extended the advantage to two goals seven minutes later but the visitors fired back with an amazing solo effort from Bobby Linn, who rounded three defenders before firing in.
Kevin Fotheringham levelled for East Fife with five minutes remaining.
Arbroath 0
Stranraer 0
BOTH sides seemed to have one eye on this week's promotion play-offs as they played out a dull 0-0 draw.
Paul Tosh passed up a gilt-edged chance for the Lichties as he failed to connect with a perfect Bryan Scott cross right in front of the goal. And Tosh was the villain again on 55 minutes as he took the ball around the keeper but failed to finish as Scott Black recovered to clear.
Stranraer's best chance came from Ian Cashmore, his header well saved.
Elgin City 1
Stenhousemuir 5
STENHOUSEMUIR finished their season on a high with an emphatic 5-1 victory at Borough Briggs.
Robert Love was the hat-trick hero for the Warriors, opening the scoring after just six minutes of play. Steven Ferguson doubled the visitors' lead midway through the first half before Jason Crooks pegged back the score on 35 minutes.
But City's revival was short-lived as Love stuck again before the break. Paul Tyrell made it 4-1 before Love completed the rout.
Forfar Athletic 1
Dumbarton 1
FORFAR'S season ended in disappointment at the bottom of the table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Dumbarton, leaving them languishing in last place.
Disaster struck for Forfar as Michele Lombardi was sent off on 62 minutes after an elbow on Craig Brittain.
The Sons took the lead on 69 minutes with an excellent finish after good work from Tommy Coyne.
Forfar fired back two minutes later through John Ovenstone who forced the ball over from close range.
