ON-LOAN Hibs striker Mikael Antoine-Curier made it eight goals in five games for Dundee as the Dens Park club re-ignited the First Division title race with a 2-0 win over Livingston.
Curier opened the scoring three minutes after the interval, skilfully lifting the ball over keeper Colin Stewart after Colin Samson had played him through.
And the Frenchman followed that up in 61 minutes when his powerful 20-yard free-kick ric
ocheted in off an upright.
The victory put Dundee just three points behind Hamilton, who they play on Saturday, with a game in hand.
But for Livingston boss Mark Proctor it was a night to forget as he saw 20-year-old debutant Murray Davidson controversially sent off. The Edinburgh-born midfielder was booked in the first half and red carded just a minute after the first goal for what referee Scott MacDonald deemed was a dive in the penalty box.
There appeared to be contact, however, and the decision was mystifying for the majority of the 3715 supporters who turned up.
Amid the ensuing angry scenes Proctor was sent to the stand.
He said: "The red card for Murray was wrong and I am keen to see it again. It's awful for the lad because he's a young boy making his full debut and it ended after just 50 minutes with a red card."
Livingston had played a cautious game up until the sending off with teenage striker Leigh Griffiths asked to play a lone role up front. And arguably the best chance for either team in the first half was a Robert Snodgrass free-kick which skidded inches wide from 25 yards.
