Lukasz Zaluska is hoping to be a hero for both Dundee United and Celtic when the season reaches its climax this weekend.
The United goalkeeper is bound for Parkhead next season and would love to help the champions claim a fourth consecutive title by shutting out Rangers at Tannadice on Sunday.

A win for the Ibrox club would see them pip Celtic to the title but the home side need a point to secure European football next season and Zaluska is hoping for a double celebration.

He said: "Scott Thomson, the goalkeeping coach here at United, said to me yesterday I can be a hero for both United and Celtic if I play well and we get the point we need against Rangers.

"In that sense, I guess you could say I have two huge reasons to perform at my best on Sunday.

"I like that kind of pressure and it would be a double bonus if I can make sure United win a place in next season's Europa League and, in some way, help Celtic win the league.

"But at the moment my only priority is United. The manager, fans and everyone here have been fantastic to me in my time here and I'll never forget that."

Personally I think Celtic winning at home to Hearts is certainly not a forgone conclusion given their inconsistency this season!

I would not be surprised at all if Celtic draw and DU win, leaving the Gers champions!

For me this season has shown that Celtic need to spend money on a young injury free striker, personally I would pull out all the stops to get Fletcher of Hibs.

I don’t' really begrudge the Gers the title if they win because both teams are poor, but I do think it's Celtic who have thrown it away especially with their inconsistency upfront and Boruc has over the season had a poor one loosing Celtic some vital points.

Anyway let’s hope people on both sides behave themselves whatever the outcome.

Relating to the Samaras article:

Celtic outplayed the Gers at Ibrox in the last OF game, our strikers let us down simple as that. If we had got the penalty when Whitaker took McDonald out from the back without touching the ball just before he was about to shoot, if McGeady had not blasted his chance wide, if Naka had not had an off day, if Davies had not cleared off the line etc..etc.. Yes lots of ifs but that shows you how close it really was.

Anyway I can’t believe some of the Celtic posts on here, so negative, Samaras should keep his mouth shut because he has let us down big time, but so should Miller of Rangers, what is he saying brining the trophy back to where it belongs, what a cheek!

I still have faith in WGS, the players have let him down especially up front and Boruc in goal who alone has lost us 4+ points at least this season and I still think played poorly in Europe!

WGS has the best record of a Celtic manager at home and in Europe since the great Jock Steain. None that succeeded Stein including O’Neil have bettered him, and remember O’Neil had the one of the greatest Celtic players Larsson to use which WGS has not!

Keep believing Celtic fans, we can still do it, the Gers fans on here are in for a mighty fall if we do it on Sunday, they are so over confident again, it reminds me of last year!
