What is the German first division if not the Bundesliga? Below the Bundesliga (Federal League) there is Bundesliga 2. The new third national league which is the first all-German level below Bundesliga will only commence this season. So what is last season's first division in the context of this snippet? I'm not being awkward - I would really like to know.
