• FORMER Celtic captain Neil Lennon has signed for Paul Lambert's Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the season. The veteran midfielder is expected to make his debut against Accrington Stanley on Saturday after leaving Nottingham Forest.

Manager Lambert said: "This is an absolutely huge signing. Neil is a great player with the personality to match and I can't believe that we've got him."

Derby sign Stubbs for survival fight

• DERBY County have signed Everton defender Alan Stubbs on an 18-month contract. No fee is involved for the 36-year-old former Celtic player.

Derby manager Paul Jewell said: "It's a terrific capture for us. I'm delighted to have him on board and he will add experience and steel to the backline."

• SUNDERLAND have signed Charlton's Republic of Ireland midfielder Andy Reid in a three-and-a-half-year deal which could cost up to £4 million.

• BOLTON manager Gary Megson has boosted his attacking options with the signing of Poland striker Grzegorz Rasiak from Southampton on loan until the end of the season.

• JARI Litmanen and fellow Finn Tony Kallio have joined Fulham. The 36-year-old Litmanen, formerly of Ajax, Barcelona and Liverpool, has signed until the end of the season, while his countryman Kallio has also arrived from Swiss side Young Boys.

Antoine-Curier heads to Dundee

• DUNDEE last night completed the signing of Hibs striker Mickael Antoine-Curier. The 24-year-old has agreed a deal to the summer after being released by Easter Road manager Mixu Paatalainen. Dundee manager Alex Rae is delighted with his capture. "He's a boy I've been watching for a while," he said.

Lapira dips out of move to Aberdeen

Anglo Jambo,

No further transfer news from the Jambos unless they are sitting on the news before releasing it. It appears the one player is Screpis who it appears already had a contract. I have said all along they are cutting their overstretched wage bill. I don't think we can count the two young signings as an immediate attempt at strengthening first team squad. O the names Mouthino and Maybury were mentioned. Maybury goes to Aberdeen. On past performances at Tynecastle I believe Maybury is better full back than what we have now. Good move Calderwod. At least we haven't lost Berra or Driver.

ah well, so MAC wasn't a loan deal but a free... I think that free header in the ICT game sealed his fate. The boy had heart but couldnt cut it. Some people say he was fighting for the hibs cause, I say he was fighting for his career and an end to constant transfers (this has to be about the 20th in 2 years). I liked him and I hope for his sake he finds his game in Dundee, good luck MAC, thanks for the celtic game.

the fact that hearts had alan maybury training and let him go to aberdeen...when we clearly have the worst right back in scotland at the moment..just sums it up at the moment. no one at hearts has any idea about football. and steve frail used to be a full back so why he cant see this is baffling.

absolute cr*p! screpis probably wont kick a ball for us and be another one who makes up the numbers.

well done to aberdeen and good luck to maybury.

didnt know jari litmanen was still alive!!

Not good enough. Are there any believers out there now?
A full month of "looking for a new manager" - nothing
A squad clearly in need of strengthening - nothing
The only position we don't need a new player - another midfielder

They either don't know or don't care what they're doing.

I've said before, we can only judge these guys on what they do - and they've done nothing.
Does anyone out there believe the manager talk was more than a smokescreen to keep us quiet during the transfer window?
And how long till a vague press release claiming "they've spoken to a number of high-profile names but none have met our requirements", or - god forbid - something about the new stand...

#8 - Graham. The first priority is to locate the right man for manager's job. This may take longer than we (the fans) may think for various reasons. With the possibility of a new manager there is in fact sound logic in not dipping into the tranfer market right now. Our season to all intents and purposes is a busted flush so let's use the time to blood one or two of the younger prospects and it could be for that reason that the two other youngsters were recruited as replacements for them in the U-19 squad?

If we go by past patterns, things will start to happen before season tickets start to go on sale.

That's one way of looking at it anyway.

The biggest announcements early January about @major new signings', from a team owner came direct from Romanov.

Again made us a laughing stock, we must acknowledge that Hibs at least are not satisfied with their position and gone out and made a few signings. Celtics £1.25 for Robson alone put's Romanovs entire commitment to Hearts playing staff into perspective.

His announcement came to stave off the proposed boycott against Gretna, that's all gone quiet now as getting nearer the time.

Romanov made the statement to get beyond the transfer window, now it's past he knows there is little point. He's done it again.

9th in the league, out of all competitions, ambition a top 6 finish, season over in January - pathetic.

We've got SF asking the players not to write off the season, when the board clearly have.
Now we've a group of players who expect a new manager in at some point, being asked to play their best for SF now in the hope of him giving the new guy a glowing report and getting kept on. It's not going to happen. I don't see the players being motivated now, they couldn't be motivated when we had something to play for - so what's going to get them interested now?
The season is a complete washout, the only saving grace would be if we use the remaining time - as #9 says - to give the young guys a run out, they'll put in the effort to prove they've got a future, and who knows? We may find a gem or two in there.

#5 Riley-Hamish,

I was reffering to Hearts getting relegated - Obviously your too think to work that out.

I know hearts have been pants this season, we're out the cups, we're 9th in the table.. I'm not blind.

If Tall, Bruno and Kingston all return soon our strengthen's our squad ALOT.

19# Riley-Hamish

We arent toiling against relegation at the moment no..

14 points ahead of Gretna (Soon to be 17)
1 point behind The Bleach-haired, light feather-weights from the other side of edinburgh.
5 points of 6th place.

We'll be above Hibs in another couple of weeks and on our way back to the top 6 soon after.

Sorry let me re-word that - THICK.

#20 - you've been saying that all season!

What is it, "wave as you pass us by"...aye right.

There's no end of conceit and arrogance from some big team supporters. No signings, no manager, no interest anymore from Mad Vlad.

Let's see how it all pans out, but I'd rather be in our position with a new manager and some new blood than yours.

#21 Ok.. If you'd far rather be in your position i'm happy for you. Come the end of the season, you's will finish below us, as usual.

What an embarrasment that will be eh!?

You Hibs fans get soo excited about everything.. You's are gash, just like Hearts and every other team in the SPL. (including the two jokes of a club in glasgow)

I've backed Frail ever since he became involved in the set up - I'm happy Frail's our manager at the moment and gets to pick the team.
Since he's been given full control of team matters - we've taken 7 points from 9. (Thats better already than Mixu can do with his first 3 games incharge..)

I know you Hibs fans dont understand sometimes, so i'll explain the following:

"Since he's been given full control of team matters - we've taken 7 points from 9. (Thats better already than Mixu can do with his first 3 games incharge..)
(Thats better already than Mixu can do with his first 3 games incharge..)"

Hearts 1-0 Hibs (-3 points from his first league game)
Even if Hibs win the next two games - That will be a grand total of 6 points.
