ARBROATH got their Third Division play-off hopes back on track with a convincing win over East Stirlingshire.
Arbroath's Bryan Scott should have opened the scoring after 24 minutes when he failed to connect with a Scott McBride corner from two yards out. The forward thought he had finally scored after 37 minutes, but was deemed to be offside.

East St
irling came out fighting in the second half but

failed to take their chances and after 57 minutes found themselves both a man and a goal down. The penalty came after McBride lifted the ball through to Scott who in turn lobbed the keeper only to be fouled by Steven Oates.

Oates was shown a straight red card and Alan Brazil stepped up to put his side ahead. Arbroath scored a second through talisman Scott, who held off two challenges before smashing a great shot into the top corner.
