RANGERS manager Walter Smith has flown to Lithuania to spy on likely Champions League opponents FBK Kaunas.
Smith will watch the Lithuanian champions in league action against Suduva, although he is already familiar with most of their players.

Rangers faced the same prospect of playing Kaunas in the Champions League qualifiers last season, but the Baltic outfit were surprisingly beaten by FK Zeta. Kaunas are likely to beat Andorran side Santa Coloma in the first qualifying round this season though, to set up a first-leg clash at Ibrox in the second round of qualifiers on 30 July.

Smith told www.rangersfc.co.uk: "We already have quite a lot of information on them from last season because we watched them on two occasions when they played FC Zeta."
