FALKIRK have signed former Scotland internationalist Jackie McNamara on a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old left Aberdeen last month and cited a desire to move back to the central belt.

The move reunites the versatile defender with former Celtic team-mate John Hughes, now in charge at Falkirk. McNamara said: "I played with John at Celtic – in fact I travelled with him for over a season. He is well respected in the game and I am looking forward to working with him again."

And Bairns boss Hughes said: "Jackie is different class. The ultimate professional. For the youngsters at the club it will be brilliant to train and play with him."

Falkirk have also signed defender Dermot McCaffrey, 22, from Hibernian on a three-year deal.
