ANDY DRIVER, David Obua and Deividas Cesnauskis have been forced out of Hearts trip to Falkirk tomorrow with a combination of injuries, and the African midfielder may be absent for up to a month according to manager Csaba Laszlo.
Obua returned from international duty with a muscle complaint, as did Cesnauskis, and Driver will not be risked due to a swollen ankle.

Obua's injury is causing Hearts' medical staff most worry at present.

Laszlo said: "We have a problem with David. It is not easy to fly four days in three different countries. It's maybe ten or 12 hours from here to Africa on a plane. He's been from here to Uganda, Mali, Niger, Mali and then back here. Now he has a porblem with his muscles. He may be out for the next three to four weeks.

"Yesterday in training he had pain so we must be careful. We don't want to make the same mistake as with Mike Tullberg and force it too early.

"I think he needs three weeks, maybe four.

"Andy Driver is completely out for this weekend. I hope he is back for next week. He has a small inflammation in the ankle so we wait and give him the chance to recover.

"Cesny came back from his national team with a muscle problem. He is also out for the weekend."

Recent loan signing Adrian Mrowiec could make a surprise start against Falkirk due to the enforced absences.

Obua's legs are so thin I'm surprised that he could have a muscle problem.

I've seen more meat on a butcher's pencil.

Who?,

12/09/2008 14:08:19
Two wide players with pace would have made a bit of an impact against falkirk however the midfield has a bit of versitility so they should cope.

Prediction falkirk 1 v 2 hearts

What happened did he get injured on the plane?
How many guys unavaliable already and the season has barely started
Think Miko will start with Kingston in behind Mole Jonson back in midfield and Thompson back to right back
A very young team though

Surely insurance will pay the wages for players out on international duty
So Hearts dont lose financially only on the pitch

#16 I just dont like Zaliukas thats all. I did think a couple of years back he could become a good player for us, but after last seasons farce I want him out. I admit hes started well this term, but I still feel hes an accident waiting to happen, I reckon hes always 1 disaster away from total meltdown. Maybe Im being slightly harsh but Id say Karipidis is a far better defender.

Add to that, Karipidis is not a midfielder so if u want Zali to remain in the team he should be dropped, simple as that, & replaced with Palazuelos - a wonderful player.

Ive liked Moles contribution this season, his work rate has impressed me, but Im very interested to see if a nade / Glen partnership could benefit us so thats my reasoning there.

Furthermore, if it werent for the injuries reported in this article, Id also have dropped work-shy kingston for this fixture. I know he was good at Hamilton but I still really do not feel he does nearly enough to justify his huge salary.

glad to see others agree and it isnt just picking on others for the sake of it,i want hearts to shine everyweek but the prep before some games aint good,e.g. internationals.

#25 Cheers for that reply
I am of a slightly differnt opinion i think Zali deserves his place although i agree Karapidis is not a midfielder
Think Mole would feel hard done buy if he was dropped his wok rate has been fantastic and Kingston should take a leave out of his book
I would like a Mole Nade start 2 big battering rams right down the middle
Csaba is the only one that matters come saturday though

#27 I suppose Mole & nade together are also untested, this is maybe worth a shot, I take your point.

We really need a good result tomorrow, I feel its a pivotal game - if we win we are on course still & riding high at the right end of the league; a defeat or draw & another season of mediocrity could beckon.

Are u going through?

#28 cant believe you are saying that "a defeat or draw & another season of mediocrity could beckon."

a defeat and we go and try and get three points next week. whats with the mentality of people in this country?? it was the same with scotland and hey ho they won so its all rosey but defeat and its OH nO...
it will take a lot more than an away to defeat to falkirk before i compare it with last season...which was alot worse than mediocre!

We should never have sent out Elliot on loan. We need all the players we can get our hands on to continue the title challenge. Surely they'll be another plane load of Eastern Europeans coming over when the Lith season finishes.
40

busbyfh,

12/09/2008 19:25:54
Lets not kid ourselves - the Pole was always going to start - when Vlad has new toys ...well we know the script.
Driver out is a blow as though his final ball is often poor - he can still open up defences.
Obua is different - He needs match practise but up until now he has been like a man short - hopeless.
Miko in his current form (when allowed to play) is an able deputy for Cesny (and that is saying something from a Miko DOUBTER)
Just keep Ksanevicius away - when he is not diving his contribution is limited to say the least.
Sleeves rolled up job tomorrow. Forget football - get stuck in. That's how you beat Falkirk.

andy driver is a big loss for tomorrows game , think we can just about cope without chessy , but ah have to say obua ! can only benefit the team immensly if hes out cos the guy is gash tbh. hes so left footed that he should have the job of painting the centre circle !!

50 Give the boy 5 minutes, he has just arrived and looks top quality to me just lacking the confidence which will come when he's more settled. Mind Scottish footie is 100 miles an hour, can seem like the ball is zipping in fast forward, 1 big hoof back up the park at er like a rainbow effect but all other teams like to keep it on the deck
45

markatview,

12/09/2008 20:43:54
#51 ah hope your right , but it just goes to show that footballs all about opinions , he is a decent mf but just too one footed for ma liking ,.if he could use both feet i think he would be the dogs baws in the spl .

The Gorgie Boys Are In Town,

53 I trust Csabas judgment on him he will definately come good and it's a bit of an assett that he can fill a few roles when injuries and suspensions leave a position short, he can fill in. Always think a player should play in their best position though for the best part.
Mon the JT's tomorrow glad we are up and running again!

Watched Csaba interview on Hearts.tv he seems to be very fussy on the laest bit of detail. He seems to know who can play where and what is expected of each one even when he changes tactics during game.Although he breeds confidence among the players I still have one thing nagging in my head, every year the team at the bottom of the league usually get their first win of the season against Hearts! I hope Csaba has taken note of that little detail and can prove that we really are better under his guidance.

55 That is very true, it's the same when a player has yet to score or going through a barron spell we let him score to cheer him up i think! Hope they are low on confidence and if we can score early then we should win but who knows we don't have a great record there andd they won't like being bottom.
