Falkirk frustrated Hearts in the first half of their Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Tynecastle.
Only some slack passes by the visitors allowed Hearts chances through Calum Elliot and Saulius Mikoliunas but the Falkirk defence blocked.

The Bairns enjoyed some lengthy spells of possession and Gerard Aafjes headed over in the best of several chances they created.

Arfield shot just over from 20 yards before Barrett shot straight at Steve Banks in a Falkirk counter attack which began when Patrick Cregg dispossessed Kingston.

Falkirk maintained their promising spell and Thomas Scobbie headed over after a floating cross by Ross. Scobbie then turned provider from a similar position wide on the right with an inswinging cross that Gerard Aafjes headed over from a decent opportunity.

Hearts enjoyed the territorial advantage in the latter stages but Barr produced another crucial block from a Ksanavicius volley before Stewart screwed a 20-yard shot wide.

Christophe Berra then headed harmlessly over from a deep Kingston corner before Aafjes was booked for a foul on the African.

Oh well one more home game against a resurgent, battling Dundee Utd then away to Killie.

4 points max for the Jambos.
