BO'NESS United again proved adept from the penalty spot as they won their second cup tie in two weeks, defeating Blairgowrie after a penalty competition. Finishing the game with only ten men after Will Snowdon was red carded late on, Bo'ness went beh
ind after half an hour from an Andy Murray header though they struck back quickly courtesy of David Morrison. In the second half Jon Tully headed Bo'ness into the lead but Blairgowrie equalised again from the head of Murray. Robert Burns saved his first two penalties which gave Bo'ness the platform to win through, with Kevin Donnelly scoring the last of four successful penalties for Bo'ness.

Blackburn 0 - 1 Rosyth RecreationBLACKBURN faced their Premier League opponents Rosyth after a few weeks of inactivity. They forced the game from the kick off but missed too many chances before the visitors took the lead. A bad mistake in the heart of the Blackburn defence allowed Rosyth striker Stuart Ogg to pounce and blast the ball into the net for the opener after 18 minutes. Thereafter Blackburn tried hard to break down a resolute Fife defence but failed to slip out of the Cup.

Musselburgh nearly took the lead on ten minutes but Paul Currie's shot from the edge of the box struck the upright but it was the visitors who took the lead after 65 minutes when Graeme Cole headed home a free kick from close range. Musselburgh equalised five minutes later when Paul Tansey was tripped in the box and Currie stepped up to fire home the penalty. Penicuik ended the match with ten men when former 'Burgh player Kenny Munro was shown two yellow cards in the closing stages of the match.

Keith McNicol gave them the lead after 29 minutes, followed just before the break by a penalty from Steve Thomson. Into the second half and Thomson added a second with a wonder strike before winger Joe Dunbar got in on the act with a wonder strike himself to complete the scoring. This win sees Newtongrange climb the table in their bid for a Super League spot.

SOUTH DIVISIONPumpherston 5 - 2 TranentTHIS game promised much early on with both teams pushing forward. Reid produced a good save in the eighth minute smothering a Fraser shot from ten yards. The visitors came close again when a Murray free kick hit the bar. With 18 minutes gone Pumpherston failed to clear a Tait cross and Daryl Fraser pounced to force the ball into the net from close in. Ten minutes later it was all square again when Sean Martin scored after hesitation in the visitors defence. Kenny Martin and Dickov had chances to put their side ahead but poor finishing and some desperate defending kept the score level.
The home side were awarded a penalty when Dilworth brought Kenny Martin down. He picked himself up and scored from the spot. Two minutes later at the other end Gibb was fouled by Black and from the penalty spot Murray hit the bar. Mark Burke was sent off for a last man foul on K Martin. From the free kick Cunningham brought off a great save. In the 68th minute K Martin got his second when he ran through the defence to stroke the ball past the advancing keeper. Norris won the ball on the halfway line, fed the ball out to S Martin who cut the ball back into the path of Craig Black who gave the keeper no chance from 12 yards. Four minutes from time Joe Murray pulled one back when he placed a 20 yard free kick out of Reid's reach. In the last minute Daniel Wolfe got a fifth when he ran onto a K Martin pass to score from eight yards.

Porteous increased the lead in the 42nd minute, again powering home a header from a corner kick. Chilton scored a brace in the 71st and 86th minutes, the first of his goals, well worthy of the admission charge, from 25 yards out screaming into the top corner.
Craig completed the scoring on the final whistle, netting from six yards out after a series of missed chances. Dalkeith finished the match with eight men after some questionable referee decisions.
