CITY rivals Hibs and Hearts are to clash in the fourth round of the cup.
Hearts, who beat Rangers on Saturday to record their fifth consecutive win, will play Hibernian at Easter Road on the weekend of January 10-11.

Today's draw handed holders Rangers a trip to St Johnstone while Celtic also face Irn-Bru First Division opposition in the shape of Dundee at Parkhead.

Rangers needed penalties to knock out Saints in last season's semi-finals and face a tough test against a side leading their division.

Motherwell will play non-league opposition with Mark McGhee's men facing a trip to the winners of the third-round clash between Inverurie Locos and Vale of Leithen.

Lochee United, the only junior side in the draw, will host Kilmarnock if they beat Ayr in their rearranged tie, although an Ayrshire derby could be on the cards.

Falkirk host last season's runners-up, Queen of the South, while Aberdeen will travel to play Raith Rovers or Alloa.

Dundee United have an away game against former player Jim McInally's East Stirlingshire, who knocked out Livingston on Saturday.

In some of the other ties, St Mirren will play away against Edinburgh City or Brechin, Inverness will host Partick Thistle and Hamilton play Ross County or Dumbarton away.

Great draw. Cannae wait.

Bring out the Yaaaaaaakks!! Yaaaak!

Wonder how many will be gone in the tynie firesale by the time this games comes around? Not really an issue though, if we're on song, nowt to worry about with this mob, well except the injury list, hacking hoofing toley-shirt wearing yam fvcks.

At least we should see a full house for this one with no 'seat dressed hobos'. There's just something about the Scottish Cup that Hibs don't seem to get - or at least haven't since Buffalo Bill rode the range.

#3 Language Timothy really !!! I can tell you, along with the rest of your mob, are worried already by the thought of us consigning your Scottish Cup plans to the bin by mid- January - it will allow you to concentrate on the relegation dog-fight I suppose - GIRUY !!!!

Nice one!!! good draw for us...could have been trickier...we could have been away to one of Edinburghs bigger clubs Edinburgh City or Spartans....:o)

#4 I wouldnt bet on it!! they love dressing up! ;o) but at least they dont have to go all the way to glasgow this time.....

108 and counting........

#5 Why worry about hearts? Really?

Seen a fair bit of Hertz in this 'winning run' your currently enjoying. They have been nothing short of 5h!te and maybe 2-3 good players. Large slice of luck, and to be fair, a LOT of work has got them in 3rd. Not a team I would ever fear playing. Add Rankgers to that list aswell, its only Shellick (when on form) that are a class above.

As I said in my original post, Great draw, cannae wait.

Clearly the "fair bit" you've seen of Hearts equates to about 5 minutes if your assessment of Hearts over the last 5 games is "5h1te".
Some decent football being played by Hearts at the moment and I've not seen this large slice of luck we are supposed to have had either.
Sounds to me like someone's a wee bit jealous of our league position...... :0)

(and our Scottish Cup record)

(oh.....and our Derby record)

#9 ive not seen much of it but can you tell me about hibs great winning run? how have they been playing? hoofball from the flairmeisters if the last derby was anything to go by!!
so its work thats got us in third??
says alot for your lazy mob of try hards then doesnt it!!

as for "large slices of luck" im not too sure karipdis would agree as he was hardly lucky on saturday!

dont want to argue with you about it as you clearly have no clue what your talking about but glad your so optimistic.

The only tie that realistically offers the prospect of a "giant killing" (snigger) is off-course the division 1 league leaders at home to the rearrangerz.

I'll betcha "walter's" bottle crashed on hearing the news. By january 10, it is conceiveable that the league could be done and dusted in the champions favour, and to then go out of the SC lower league opposition would surely be the final nail in the coffin...to be faced with only the possibility of lifting the CIS before mid january after spending £18m last summer has surely got mean curtains for "walter" and off-course, Ally.

The omens are bleak for the rearrangerz...duff performances ...duff results...and hair-raising claims that they'll go on to win EVERY game this season.

I think they're all starting to go a bit bonkers down govan way, utterly bonkers.

11 GOOD YIN, FLETCHER STILL AT HIBS.

Fletcher will be at Hibs til the summer if hes not its no great loss ,he cant head a ball ,any decent striker would have put away the heading chances he had against ict and Falkirk which would have made a difference between 4 points and 1

#9 Comments like that make out as though Hibs are a decent team. Wake up Rosco, your in a relegation dog fight! At least you can concentrate on that when you get knocked out in Jan!

What a poor draw, I wanted Hibs to have a difficult game.

Ah well a Hibs vs Woolies of Midlothian might be just the warm up for the Hibees.

#12 Well having watched the 90 mins on saturday, you were pretty lucky, two quick goals from set pieces, then sit in and fight for your lives is pretty much how I saw it. At ICT, the only thing you done all game was have a few miraculous escapes after Aguiar deflected one in of someone's backside. I did note that this doesn't come without hardwork, but also, plenty of luck, which I'm sure, a jambo thats been at all games would concur, 1-0's and 2-1's, not as if you are cruising and making loads of chances.

We were pretty poor last derby I'll agree, but that was some time ago, and we seem to be sorting out some of the deficiencies (sp!) that were on display that day, namely, a decent formation. You were nothing special that day either, we just made you look good.

As mentioned, cannae wait.
