PROMOTION-chasing Arbroath received a blow to their play-off hopes with a 1-0 defeat by neighbours Forfar Athletic last night.
Sean Kilgannon drove in the only goal of the game after four minutes, and although the Gayfield side fought back they could not pierce a determined Forfar defence. The victory lifts Forfar off the bottom of the league and leaves East Stirlingshire in a precarious position.

The match between Albion Rovers and Stranraer was called off due to a waterlogged pitch just one hour before kick off, even though both clubs wanted to play. That means East Fife can now clinch the title when they take on East Stirlingshire on Saturday.
