CAMMIE STEWART, a former Kingsknowe captain but now a member at Marriott Dalmahoy, sneaked in late in the day to score a double triumph in yesterday's Lothians Seniors' Championship at Dalmahoy.
Out in the second-last group in the McCarthy & Stone-sponsored event, Stewart shot a one-under-par 66 and, playing off three, that proved good enough to secure both the scratch and handicap spoils.

Kilspindie's Bob Humble led the scratch section until Stewart came in and, rubbing salt into his wounds, he was also overtaken by Duddingston's Ian Fraser, who had 67 playing in the same group as the winner.

As a reward for finishing in the top two spots, Stewart and Fraser earn automatic selection for the Lothians side that will play in the inaugural Scottish Seniors' Area Team Championship at Cardross later in the year.

The top two Lothians players on the Scottish Seniors' Order of Merit will also get places in the side, with Humble, the team captain, having two wild card picks to complete the six-man team.

Pumpherston's David Anderson, who had a 73, won a card play-off to win the scratch section in the B category, while the C section was topped by Bathgate's Jock Maclean with a 77.
