BRIDGING a 14-year gap, Craigmillar Park were deserved winners of the 51st Edinburgh Ladies' Inter-Club Tournament at the Merchants.
Represented by Kirsten Blackwood, Karen Ballantyne, Sal Shepherd and Frances McFadzean, Craigmillar Park turned on the style on the closing day of the event.

They crushed Lothianburn by 12 and 10 in the semi-finals and then stormed to an 8 and 6 win in the final over Musselburgh, who had beaten Kingsknowe by 4 and 3 in the other morning match.

Musselburgh were represented by newly-crowned Midlothian champion Rachael Livingstone, Jane Herd, Ruth Carroll and Linda Grieve.

Craigmillar Park, beaten finalists 12 months ago, have now won the event five times, the previous successes having been in 1963, 1989, 1978, and 1994.
