PERTHSHIRE teenager Roseanne Niven was runner-up to Welsh Curtis Cup player Breanne Loucks in the Irish women’s open amateur stroke-play championship at Elm Park Golf Club, Dublin yesterday.
However Crieff’s Niven is just a first reserve to the squad of six to represent Scotland in the European women’s amateur team championship in Sweden from 8-12 July.

Niven, 19, had a final round of three-under-par 70, and finished three shots behind Loucks’ tally of five-under 214.
