CHRIS Russell saved his best for last as he claimed his first Tartan Tour order of merit title in the final counting event of the season at Dundonald yesterday.
The East Lothian-based pro closed with a fine four-under 68 in the Callaway/Audi 36-holer for a three-under aggregate of 141 and a three shot victory over Ladybank's Alan Lockhart.

Russell, the son of former European Tour winner DJ, had been sharing seventh at the start of the day but surged to the top with a tidy round in testing conditions.
