ELLIOT SALTMAN earned £330 and Andrew Oldcorn £240 for down-the-field finishes in this week's PGA EuroPro Tour event at The Shire Golf Club, London.
Saltman scored 71, 71 and 75 for one-over-par 217, a total that placed him joint 25th.

Oldcorn's rounds were 74, 72 and 75 for 221 and a share of 41st place.

Barry Hume from Glasgow was the top Scot in a three-way tie for second place, one shot behind the £10,000 winner, Irishman Brian McElhinney.

Hume shot 73, 68 and 69 for six-under 210 and earned £3,067.

There were three Scots in all in the top 10 finishers – Jack Doherty, joint fifth on 211 (72-70-69) for a £1,200 pay-out, and Graeme Brown, joint eighth on 212 (76-69-67) for a £850 cheque.

• LOTHIANBURN stormed into the semi-finals of the Edinburgh Ladies' Inter-Club Tournament with the biggest win of the week so far at the Merchants last night.

They thumped Ratho Park by 15 and 12 over the double foursome to set up a semi-final showdown with Craigmillar Park, who were 6 and 5 winners over Murrayfield.

Musselburgh, who beat Liberton by 6 and 5, were due to face Kingsknowe, 2 and 1 winners over Glencorse, in the other semi-final this morning.
