GRETNA chairman Ron McGregor expects the club to survive despite claims they could be be closed down within a fortnight.
A meeting is set to take place on May 8, at which Gretna's fate will be discussed by creditors.

Gretna have been in administration since March 12, taking the necessary step following the withdrawal of Brooks Mileson's financial support for the club.

They could be wound up if the creditors tell administrators Wilson Field there is no future for the Raydale Park club.

But McGregor said: "I do not expect that to happen. We are optimistic a buyer will be found and we are keeping all our hopes alive to try to soldier on."
