IT WAS a fine weekend for Accies. Not only did they record their 1,400th league win, they also became the first team to win two league games at New St Mirren Park. The man who caught the eye in the first half was Portuguese striker Marco Paixao, who got over his early substitution a week earlier by scoring the first goal and setting up the second.
The team are playing a bit better than their league position would suggest but the problem for manager Billy Reid is deciding who should drop out for captain Alex Neil and classy Frenchman Guillaume Beuzelin.

Motherwell are the visitors on Saturday for another tough challenge and it's about time Accies laid to rest the curse of BBC Alba. We've lost every time they've shown our games and this weekend would be a good time to fix that.
