HEARTS owner Vladimir Romanov could land Uganda manager Laszlo Csaba for as little as £120,000.
The Tynecastle side are still searching for a new head coach and Hungarian Csaba revealed last week Hearts had a expressed an interest in him. Romanov has already missed out on Mark McGhee, Vladimir Weiss and Jurgen Rober. Csaba's estimated £48,000 a-year contract with the Ugandan FA runs until the end of 2010 and vice-president Richard Barigye admits they will be seeking compensation if Hearts make an official approach.

He said: "We pay him about $8000 (£4,000) and then there is free housing and other things like medical and school fees to be taken into consideration."

It will be worth it for Hearts to get their first choice manager.

Another day, another week, another re-hashed speculative story about managers.

Interesting how the headlines have changed emphasis though - Barry Anderson article a couple of days ago "Vlad facing a £120,000 bill if he goes for Csaba as boss" (negative spin) and today it's "Csaba may cost Hearts as little as £120,000" (positive spin). Oh the fickleness of the press.

Where's the Kyphosis Kid this morning?

I think we are all losing patience now, I have no idea if this man has any "British" football experience or if VR will allow him complete autonomy in on field matters, team and player selection as was originally said in January when the satements about getting a Manager in.

I gave up my season ticket before last season and had thoughts about renewing after serious thought, but right now I am still saying no.

Incidentally there are still ST's available.

Who?,

If this guy arrives it will all end in tears just like JC and Mixu at hibs.

If Csaba was worth anything as a coach or manager he would be in europe or coaching an association worth their salt.

#6 Aw no, you've spotted yesterday's result. There'll be nae Hibbies oot the day cos they're aw fair black affrontit after yesterday. Experiment failed that's all. Probably not a good idea to play a team in mid season if you've only just started - but even the believers would have seen that so not much sport there then.

Incidentally, how goes the training at Riccerton? On page 2 of the old Soviet Army training manual yet?

I'm here lad... a it doon in the dumps after yesterdays disaster but here none the less.

Give it out, got to take it back.... do yer worst....

As for the story... Yawn... It's actually getting a little tedious now the Hearts manager soap opera. Why dont Vlad just do the honest thing and appoint himself?

Read Andertons interview in the sun on Saturday, seemed a pretty good slant on Romanov's mindset, although I would accept that the interviewee obviously has an axe to grind as they say.

morning vic,

Do you think this is the start of his exit plan? as all the oracles of truth and justice in footballing matters have predicted on so many occasions.

Maybe just maybe they do have a longterm plan in place and this is now the start of it being rolled out, i should imagine a few people (not saying who) will be sitting with head in hands groaning awaiting the usuall cranium explosion due to the fact they cant handle any positive news coming from the hearts.

GIRUY Riley you sad lonely pathetic little looser (can you feel the veins starting to pump on your forehead ready for meltdown)

Yes, debt for equity deals are because companies are in serious financial business. It is done to stop a company from default on loans, for example.

Hearts have over £9m to repay in loan this financial year. It is in accounts.

This is way Hearts do not default on debt, but market value of Hearts as business is reduced due to dilute of share capital.

I am glad I can explain things to you, as article author does not give explanation.

oh Dear

Shouldnt you be having a look at your own sorry little team and its owners.

Murray is looking for his escape plans to be put into place BUT cant do this until he gets a buyer and right at this moment NO ONE want to invest.

Why? well thats fairly obvious i mean who would want to have their name associated with this biggoted bile hate filled team from Govan. After manchester it shows that rankers might want to move forward but the fans and (ahem) followers are stuck in the past and because of this the club will never progress to anything more than being a mediocre team in a sh1t league.

#17, you're not telling us anything which we didn't already know. the alternative would have been for the business to continue to be hit with unsustainable interest payments, interest payments which have always been used as the reason why there was asset stripping being carried out.

#15 MTG, it's started already at #17.

ahhh the ever present moronic drivel from Biley...perhaps you should sack that useless staff of yours you employ to trawl through forums and websites for news of Hearts, as there making you look a complete fool now.

As you were told months ago this was in the planning that it would happen. Stll think Hearts are going bust? still think we wont be around next year? Get used to it were here for good.

"Hearts' debt is to be reduced by thirty per cent.

The football club today revealed plans to convert £12million of their financial liabilities into fresh capital - removing £600,000 of interest per year.

As a result, UBIG will now own 81 per cent of available shares - Vladimir Romanov's personal holding increases to fourteen per cent - a total for the pair of just over 95 per cent.

With losses for the current period taken into consideration - plus the sale of Craig Gordon and Roman Bednar - it means the club's new debt (announced next year) should be around £21million instead of £36milion."

From what I gather , the news about the £12m kind of going ta ta's is just the start of a "feel good offensive" from Vlad which will cover about a week.
A new manager is to be announced within this week as well as one other bit of "positive news" being released.
Hell - FFFHibs also got stuffed and the sun has just come out ....what is wrong ?

I have a question about the debt for equity scheme- Will the shares be available to the public or will vlad and/ or UBIG be taking the lot?

From a personal perspective i think it maybe better to dilute vlads shar percentage (as long as there are enough buyers) to say 49%. That way the other 51% can ensure we have proper club directors who would appoint a decent manager and vlad interference in team matters would be reduce or almost eliminated.

You seem to be heading for the cranium explosion again yet its still sooooo early in the day.

If hearts are in such doo doo then WHY have they been invited into the European Club Association, you know to rub shoulders with such teams as Barcelona, Man Utd, Chelsea, Milan to name but a few. Did your team not receive an invite? oh well

He allegedly supports Motherwell, although frankly I doubt that as well. I'm beginning to think he's more than one person (not just in his head, which is a given) because the posts vary in levels of vitriol.

Either that or he genuinely is a schizophrenic.
