WHO says lightning doesn't strike twice? Certainly not the bookmakers at Hamilton.
Having had to dig deep into their satchels when Knot In Wood landed last year's Scottish Stewards' Cup as joint favourite, history repeated itself at the Lanarkshire track last night as Richard Fahey's gelding staged a repeat performance.

Jamie Moriarty's mount stuck his head in front inside the final furlong and kept just enough up his sleeve to repel the determined challenge of runner-up Baby Strange whose jockey Darren Williams dropped his whip close home.

And back in third came Pawan who rewarded his multitude of supporters by once again landing their each way support.

The £35,000 six-furlong dash was the highlight of the card and the main draw for the full house at Hamilton last night.
