GIOVANNI Trapattoni will place his trust in Stephen Hunt as the Republic of Ireland launch their World Cup qualifying campaign against Georgia tomorrow.
The 27-year-old Reading midfielder will replace the injured Damien Duff and is likely to line up on the right, interchanging with Celtic's Aiden McGeady as Duff did last month against Norway.

Young Aidens extremely successful career means he barely knows what its like to be a loser. The fact that he is on his way to being a millionaire and thus is far removed in a social setting from the average Rangers fan means he barley knows what a loser looks like.

Aiden is a major loss to Scotland - players of genuine pace and invention are always welcome - and on International week, thats all that should be commented on.

Genuine pace?
How fats is big Kirkie then?
McGreedy will win nothing playing for Ireland, same as he would've playing for Scotland.
Personally I'm glad he chose Ireland over Scotland.
The less ugly wee nyaffs in the team the better.
And any tic fans with brains (there must be one or two?) will admit that McGreedy must be garbage if he can't get the better of a man with "limited ability".

Any Rangers fan with any brains will admit that if a team need to base their game plan around 'doubling up' on a player to limit the damage he might do, then their manager certainly doesnt share their opinion that said player is garbage.

* Parents born in Scotland and brought up in Scotland

* McGeady born in Scotland and brought up in Scotland

* The McGeady clan all educated with health care (and no doubt a chunk of social benefits) all at Scottish Taxpayers expense

*Plays for a Scottish Club (allegedly!)

Choses to play for Ireland!!!!

10 - Rejected by Scotland at youth level and took up playing with Ireland because they wanted him!!!

Big T, like most currantz, he feels that the only thing worse than a Celtic player playing for Scotland is a Celtic player playing for Ireland.

Must be tough work watching wee Aiden racking up the medals at the expense of your hammerthrowing 11.

Live with it!

Barnsley also beat Liverpool in the FA cup. The wee diddy teams always have their day .

When oh when are Rangers fans going to give it a rest with the anti-Irish racism.
