McGlashan hails Arbroath

ARBROATH manager John McGlashan saluted his part-time side after they lost 4-2 to Inverness on penalties in the Co-Operative Insurance Cup.
The Second Division side forced the Premier League outfit all the way in a thriller. Inverness were twice ahead through Iain Vigurs and Garry Wood, only for firstly Paul Tosh and then Barry Sellars to cancel them out as the match finished 2-2. Sellars' late penalty forced extra time and even though Andy Barrowman struck the bar for Inverness before he was red carded for a late second bookable offence, penalties were the only way to decide this match.
Tosh and Paul Lunan both missed for the home side with Inverness netting all four.
"Every player in my dressing room is disappointed right now but that feeling will pass in five minutes when they realise what they have done," said McGlashan. "They have done the club proud. They can all feel good because it was a terrific achievement."
