LIVINGSTON secured the points they needed to end any lingering doubts about avoiding the relegation play-offs, strolling to victory led by teenage sensation Leigh Griffiths who fired in a terrific low 18-yard shot after ten minutes, which goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey did well to grasp at the second attempt.
Graham Dorrans, bidding a farewell to the Almondvale support before his summer move to West Bromwich Albion, left Jags defender Simon Storey in his wake in 19 minutes, but his fearsome 20-yard shot flashed across goal and wide.

With just two wins in their last 14 games, Livingston appeared much more assured and composed throughout and only a sensational full length diving save by Tuffey in 24 minutes prevented Liam Fox from notching the opener with his low 20-yard effort.

Livi deservedly went in front in 31 minutes, when Fox pounced on a mistake by Gary Harkins. He lashed in a shot from 20 yards which spun off the luckless Harkins' boot and looped over Tuffey into the net.

Ian McCall made a triple change at the interval, and his move almost paid dividends in 72 minutes when substitute Simon Donnelly cracked in a 20-yard volley which Stewart brilliantly pushed away.

Well done, Livi. Hope that next year brings a fresh slice of luck and fortune, along with the new investment. BTW, i hear that Mark Burchill is leaving Dunfermline at the end of the season. A local lad who would score a right few goals. Just the type Livingston need to propel them bxk ti the SPL.
