LIVINGSTON chairman Pearse Flynn says he has finally settled up with Emmanuel Dorado in order to allow boss Mark Proctor to rebuild the playing staff.
Flynn's initial refusal to pay up Dorado's contract led to the Scottish Football League placing a transfer embargo on the club after Livingston had lost four appeals against the ruling.

Flynn said: "We have agreed a number with the football author
ities with regard to the Dorado issue and we will settle the matter in time to allow Mark to make the signings he needs."

Proctor has admitted he made mistakes in the transfer market last season, but now feels more qualified to find the right players for the club.

"I learned an awful lot last season and am now in a better position to move the club forward and build on the entertaining football we served up last season. The people I recruited for our team last season were probably not the right people, to be honest.

"The division requires a certain profile of player, which I got wrong, so my ideas for this close season are completely different.

"It could be that our football becomes slightly less attractive, but hopefully it will make us more consistent and help us win more football matches.

"Getting the balance right is going to be difficult. We need to recruit on size and physicality, but I don't want to take away the technical side which the team shows from week to week."

• ROBERT SNODGRASS has been selected in an 18-man Scotland under-21 squad by boss Billy Stark for a forthcoming friendly against Norway.
