MORTON manager Jim McInally's reign at the club could be over today after his side slumped to second bottom in the table – five points above Stirling Albion. The Greenock side were beaten 2-1 by Clyde at Cappielow on Saturday to extend their losing run to four consecutive league games.
McInally met with Morton chairman Douglas Rae following the surprise loss to the Broadwood club.

During his three-year reign, McInally guided the team out of the Second Division. However, Morton are now struggling and, an hour after the defeat by
Clyde, assistant manager Martin Clark said: "There has been no decision and they will meet again on Monday. I do not know what is going to happen."

It seemed as if a Chris Millar opener would be good enough for the three points until a disastrous last-minute goal rush. First, Ruari MacLennan levelled and Craig McKeown headed a second in injury time to give new Clyde manager John Brown his first win.

Richard Offiong scored a hat-trick in Hamilton's 3-0 win over Dunfermline as the New Douglas Park side opened up a seven-point lead at the top.

Hamilton's opener came from a controversial penalty after David Graham seemed to collide with Sol Bamba.

Offiong scored from the spot and went on to complete his hat-trick by the interval. Manager Billy Reid said: "Offiong is a special player at this level."

Dundee manager Alex Rae admits his team are struggling to keep pace with the leaders following their 1-1 draw at Livingston. He said: "One point is no good for us and we are probably lucky to get that."

Robert Snodgrass headed Livingston into the lead but Mickael Antoine-Curier grabbed the equaliser from the penalty spot.

Queen of the South continued their amazing surge with a 3-1 win over St Johnstone thanks to two goals from Sean O'Connor and another from Jamie McQuilken.

Meanwhile, loan signing Brian Allison ensured Stirling Albion continued to scrap for survival by scoring in their 1-0 win over Partick Thistle.
